Winter usually means a lot of black and gray hues and I am no exception to the rule. However, it’s nice to be able to incorporate pops of color every now and then. I love wearing my bright blue sweater with a shorter jacket so that it’s not completely hidden underneath a winter coat. A chunky and thick snood (circle scarf) is a great add since the jacket alone will not give you an equal amount of warmth that a wool coat would. This particular scarf I scored at the DC Temporium from a local designer.

Another great way to incorporate color is through shoes. I am not a huge fan of color blocking but I thought these shoes were worth a try given its chunky (interpreted as “sturdy”) heel, pointed toe, and the fact that I love a good fuschia/purple color. All in all, I felt a little more “bright” for the day, hopefully it brightened your day as well! Happy Friday…
