I am having my own “Eat, Pray, Love” moment, except I am going with my husband, and I am not going to Italy, India, Indonesia, and I am not having a mid-life crisis…er….uh. Okay so it’s not anything like “Eat, Pray, Love” except that I just booked a trip for this summer to visit Thailand, Cambodia, and Taiwan, my own trio of countries, to celebrate my one-year wedding anniversary. On the itinerary is Bangkok and Koh Samui where I can cash in all those Starwood points I have accumulated on one of the W Retreat locations. After Thailand, we will head to Siem Reap, Cambodia and visit Angkor Wat. Lastly, the trip will end with a stopover in Taiwan, my home country and heritage, to find that coveted bowl of beef noodle soup (among other things). I am so excited for the summer and have started to think about my wardrobe – swimsuits, onesies, sandals, maxi dresses, floppy straw hats, the list goes on – and how I will pack with versality and efficiency. It is still winter in Washington, DC but in my mind it is the sweltering heat of summer. Happy Friday!
