Given DC’s proximity to New York, I am surprised that I visit only one or two times a year.  Hubby and I ventured out a couple of weeks ago in hopes of enjoying a mild Fall weekend in the city but was faced with a cold front instead.  Regardless, we had a great time visiting the New York City MoMA to see the Magritte exhibit and sculpture garden, trying out new restaurants, and catching up with friends.  The trip flew by quickly and there wasn’t enough time to do everything on our list.   That means I’ll be coming back for you, SoHo Bloomingdale’s.

[Multi-colored figurines]

[Goat sculpture by Picasso, a favorite for this Capricorn]

[A salute to the Paris metro]

[I have an obsession with Bertoia chairs]

[Pop of orange at the Le Parker Meridien]

[Cupcakes, enough said]

[Pretty flower at ABC Cocina]

PS: Friday evenings at the MOMA are free from 4-8 PM courtesy of Uniqlo, but a Sunday late morning visit is less crowded
