While in New York, I had the bright idea to go to the Lower East side to get a bite of those tasty pancakes from Clinton Street Bakery. This place is tiny, always packed, and on a first come, first serve basis. I thought I was being clever getting there by 10 am thinking the wait would only be an hour, but it turned out to be a 2.5 hour wait! It was a brisk morning (code for cold!), so with coffee in hand and wearing multiple layers, I stayed warm during my sojourn for a brunch alternative.
