Camo is on trend right now, but if you ask me, it never went out of style.  Like its friend the leopard print, camo should be considered a neutral that can be worn with almost anything.  If you are feeling timid about wearing this much pattern, try a low cost version first, like this pair I scored from Target (can you believe it?).  Still not convinced?  Apply the rule of three to see how to get mileage out of those $25 pair of pants!

Rely on Basics.  A simple white tee and blazer can bring a sense of refinement to your fatigues, capturing the essence of the term “dressy casual”.

Add Neon and Shine. The muted green colors in the pant act as a base for adding a bright color and metallic accessories creating a vibrant and fun look.

[H&M Top (similar here and here) / Aiko Cardigan (similar here) / J. Crew Coat (low cost option here) / Zara Shoes]

Wear Stripes. Mixing patterns such as a stripe in either a similar color or in classic black and white is a great way to add visual interest to an outfit.

  1. Girl I totally agree, I think camo is always the way to go. As long as you know how to style it (like you do), you can never go wrong. I see you bought the Zara heels. Love them, but I think I love that Philip Lim bag even more!

  2. Pink and camo green is one of my most favourite combinations. I also love your high/low pairings – you just do it all right! Your wardrobe really reflects those worthwhile investment pieces and matches them with great finds, like these pants! I’m sure you already knew that, but I just thought I’d say how much I love it.

    1. That is such sweet feedback, thank you! It’s hard when you are dressing yourself sometimes to know what your “thing” is, so I appreciate the feedback, yes high/low is definitely my thing now that you mentioned it. The “highs” are definitely euphoric in their own right but can I tell you how excited I get about my fashion finds at Target?! 😀

  3. a) it’s officially official (yes that is a word, at least now it is) I can no longer look at your rule of three posts, I end up immediately purchasing “the subject” b) how do those Zara flats fit? I have debated ordering them but sometimes there flats fit a full size small so have held off.

    1. Awww thank you 😍 the Zara flats run a size small. I feel that this is a recent trend. I used to wear true to size shoes at Zara but these flats are a half size smaller (36 / 6) than my true size (36.5 / 6.5). Be careful with those studs, my clutzy self injured my ankle with one of those studs!

  4. Camo is one print I’ve never really tried (for absolutely no good reason), and you’ve inspired me to change that immediately! It’s such a perfect “neutral” against pink or orange. I’m also really into Clare Vivier clutches at the moment – they’re nice and big, just the way I like them!
