There are days where nothing but an all-black outfit will do. Perhaps it’s the season, but it feels very comfortable and familiar. To keep it from looking too goth, I mix different patterns and textures.
For example, a coated skinny jean gives a waxy sheen differentiating it from my black tee.  A counter argument can also be made that the key to a successful all-black ensemble isn’t the layering of fabric upon fabric but in fact adding a touch of silver.  Ah yes, silver!  A jolt of this metallic color in the right places really brightens up the look and has been known to put a little pep in my step.

    1. Hello there! Thanks for finding me, I hope you do continue to read and I hope I continue to entertain 🙂 I love your blog as well, I just love a good “Look for Less”! xo

  1. I read somewhere that “black does not match black” kind of a fashion rule I guess? I don’t believe in fashion rule because I myself, I love to experiment. But this black to black outfit is a proof that there’s no such thing as “black does not match black” rule 🙂 You rocked it! 🙂

  2. I love all the little details in this outfit – the amazing star-strewn clutch with your nail varnish; the silver shoes with the jeans; and that blazer, which is such a cool take on leopard print. So much to look at and it all comes together brilliantly. x

    1. I didn’t know you were a NY native! Well you can definitely relate to all-black 😃 thanks so much and yes….i am loving this clutch, it is giving me new reasons to take a clutch out instead of a handbag! Xo
