I never had a cup of coffee until after college, yes you heard me right, *after* college. Back in the day, I would frequent Sweet Eugene’s in College Station, TX  to study and grab a chocolate chip muffin and a glass of milk but never touched the java. Nowadays when I take that first sweet sip in the morning, I think how did I ever live without it? Oh coffee, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways…

SEE LARK! | An Ode To Coffee

I love the various ways you can be prepared via coffee machine, french press, but the sweetest way of all is through a slow spout drip.

I love you in a big mug you on weekends, in to-go cup on weekdays, and in fancy china from room service.

And last but not least, I love how you love me back through your frothy (soy) milk topping. Oh, coffee…we are meant for each other!

  1. I drank coffee when I was little–like elementary school little, (WHAT WERE MY PARENTS THINKING?!) But it had to be cold…Now I won’t touch the stuff. Coke cola got me through my college years!
I sometimes wish I liked coffee so I could sit in Starbucks and feel sophisticated…hot chocolate will have to do for now 😉

    1. Well while you are drinking coffee, I was drinking Dr. Pepper as a child (I don’t ever remember that being rationed) but now I can’t drink that stuff so I can relate!

  2. Such a cute post… But I have to admit that I’m not a big fan of coffee. Tried it so many times but don’t like that bitterness. Give me a cup of tea in the morning and I’m a happy camper 🙂
