SEE LARK! | How To Wear Color

If you are anything like me, you find comfort in neutral colors. Gray, black, white, and brown will never treat you badly. However, it can be fun to wear color every now and then. Here are some ways to incorporate color into your wardrobe.

Wear it with nudes. Mix color with nude colors and patterns to ease you into a new palette.

Give it a leading role. Pick a bold color in a simple silhouette and make it the center piece.

Say it with shoes. Keep your outfit neutral and pick an interesting color for your feet.  The bonus is that any any color will work!

Show just a hint.  Have a bright color peek out beneath layers of black and gray.

Pair color with color.  Ditch your safety net all together and choose an interesting color combination.  Mixing pink with red or burgundy is a favorite of mine.

  1. I really like the playful vibe of all your outfits here! I love love LOVE colours, and you’ve done such a great job in putting them together in each outfit. Plus, there are so many things here that I wouldn’t mind having in my own closet!

    1. Thanks so much! I don’t consider myself a “color” person…in fact my winter wardrobe has been all black and grays lately so I needed to remember my old tricks to inject some life back into the wardrobe. Thanks for reading! xo

  2. For a lady who doesn’t wear much colour, I loooove these looks! My favourites would be the Nude and Colour image- colour works so well with nudes, does it not? Just gives the right shade of Pop and looks chic too! And I love the Hot Pink outfit, its a bold choice to wear one bold block colour like that, but you pulled it off! Now I’m off to find a colourful outfit to start my day, haha!
