For some, coffee plays second fiddle to tea.  The Sophisticated Tea Drinker enjoys tea time and all the accouterments that comes with it.  Tiny tea sandwiches?  Yes! One lump or two? Make it three!  Drinking tea is not a solo act, it’s a social experience where one catches up with friends and current events all while speaking in a polite British accent.  Wait…what?! gifting-madmen-1

‘Tis the season for gift guides galore.  Gifts can be a form of communication, a gesture to say ‘Thank You’, ‘I Love You’, or just ‘I Care’.  In that spirit, I am doing a week-long series called ‘Five Days of Gifting’ to share ideas for the various loved ones in your life.  I love gifts with themes, in a sense that it’s a set of things that can be used together and not in the “everything has cats on it” definition.  Additionally, I love to give items someone normally wouldn’t buy for themselves. Wedding Album

I love pictures! 90% of my motivation for this blog is because I love to collect, look, and stare at pictures for hours and hours. The other day, we got a package in the mail. It was a stack of our wedding photos from our awesome photographer, Mary Kate. She has an amazing eye and I wanted to create a keepsake for our parents with her work that was memorable and recreated the feel from that day. Continue reading “Wedding Album”

Party Favors

I saw this great idea on Pinterest for baby shower gifts and I knew instantly that I wanted to replicate it. I am co-hosting a baby shower for my sister and knew I wanted to give something stylish and that the guests would love. Since my sister is having a boy, I made some obvious changes.

The fun part was finding the right shade of blue. Given that Fall is upon us, there were many great choices of dark and sophisticated shades of blue. I chose Essie’s Bobbing for Baubles, the name alone was compelling enough to confirm my decision! Continue reading “Party Favors”
